Ultrasound

The use of ultrasound in diagnosing disease and injury in animals is becoming more prevalent in today’s veterinary medicine practice. Dr. Van Duzee at Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Lafayette, Louisiana understands the important uses and benefits of ultrasound for his clients and offers this diagnosing tool to our furry patients. Ultrasound is a relatively radiation-free medical diagnosing method that is useful in the location of tumors, organ function, fluid collections and of course pregnancy evaluations. Ultrasound is also useful for the detection of fluid collection such as pericardial effusions (fluid around the heart), pleural effusions (fluid around the lungs) and fluid in the abdomen. Pregnancy progression evaluations are also performed by our clinic to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery for your pet.

Many people in the Lafayette, Broussard, Youngsville, Scott, Maurice, and Carencro area trust their precious pets with Dr. Pete Van Duzee and his compassionate staff, and they are ready to care for your pet as well.
